About Just Dance

Born in Aberdeen, Jean started dancing at the age of two with her aunt (Jean Birse), at the Birse School of Dancing.  Through the years, Jean became a more developed dance pupil with an ever-growing vision of becoming a dance teacher herself.  Her wish came true when she started her own dance school, Masson School of Dancing, at the age of 19.  To this day, some of Jean's very first pupils continue dancing under her leadership!

Jean gave up her teaching when she became a mother to two girls, Claire and Louise.  In 2006, she returned to dance instruction with Just Dance, providing classes to children and adults - firstly at Kingswells, and then at Airyhall two years later.  Her enthusiasm and dedication to the power of dance creates the perfect environment for fitness and fun for all ages. Today, the dance school is comprised of more than 200 dance pupils, ranging in age from toddlers to adults – and prides itself in offering dance tuition that boasts a balance of fitness and fun.
